But What If They're Lovers is a micro game where you rewrite a book's plot while channeling your chaotic, inner love-obsessed teen girl, turning any fictional book into a wacky romcom. Why take the plot at face value when you can switch on your rose-tinted glasses and... wait a minute... these two characters were dating this whole time?!

If you want to reread your favorite story with a comedic twist or accidentally bought a predictable snoozefest and want to get the most out of your wasted money, or you are just very, very bored, feel free to use this bookmark RPG to spice up the story with unexpected romance.

This game involves rewriting scenes between two random characters with 'extra context': i.e. them being in a secret relationship and hiding it from the rest of the characters. Depending on the dice rolls, these scenes could develop or fray the secret relationship. A jealous ex may or may not lurk in the shadows, trying to keep our lovers apart. 

This bookmark specifies using a dice, but you can use any kind of random number generator. It's recommended to bring a notepad or something to jot down notes involving altered scenes or alternative events from the book. 

The awkward gap at the top of the bookmark is there if you want to punch a hole and string it up. Otherwise, you can trim it off.

I made this because I'm inspired by the TTRPG Bookmark Jam and I'm going to join it soon (this isn't an entry to that jam BTW, this is like a warm-up)
